Destiny of GCC countries written in two words: Jordan and Morocco

Yesterday, Friday, 20/05/2011, I had an opportunity to listen to a T.V. discussion on Al Arabia news network whose participants were Dr. Ibtesam, Dr. Abdul Wahhab and Dr. Abdullah Shayeji. It was an in-depth discussion about the inclusion of Jordan and Morocco in GCC and its implications over the Gulf, but I regretfully state it missed the core point: the point of settling Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon and elsewhere like Saudi Arabian and Gulf desert and the Moroccan/Algerian desert. That is the core demand of Israel for any so-called “permanent” settlement with the Arabs. This is :

a. Stated in Obama’s address on Middle East in which he stated that 1967 borders must serve as a starting point for any settlement.

b. Hamas- Fattah agreement so easily stricken by the post Hosni Mubark Egypt. Please don’t forget that Hamas has on many occasions stated to accept Israel with 1967 borders.

c. All citizens of GCC countries were taken aback at such a small but shocking and unexpected statement referring to the acceptance of Jordan and Morocco after ignoring totally the closest neighbor of GCC…Yemen following the Quartet (US, EU, UNO, and Russia) policy of Middle East knowingly or unknowingly. They declared their policy in the joint statement which was as usual rejected by Netanyahu, the hard line Israeli Prime Minister

Hence GCC heads of states were told to include by all these four “powers” to include Jordan and Morocco in GCC.

This is a naked fact whether one accepts it or not. This is a demand of the so-called “International Community” which has always been welcomed by GCC!!!  That is the end of this epoch-making news.
